Practical step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring Telcred access control hardware.
Installing Axis controllers
Follow these steps to register, configure, and bring an Axis controller online with the Telcred platform.
Register the controller
Add the controller in the platform using MAC address and Owner Authentication Key (OAK).
Configure doors
Define locks, readers, REX (Request-to-Exit), and DPS (Door Position Sensors).
Install and connect hardware
Mount the controller and connect locks, readers, and inputs according to the Telcred PIN chart. Supports all electrical lock types.
Power and network
Power via PoE or external supply. Verify PoE switch power budget or use injector if needed.
Automatic connection
Press the controller button for 2s, and the controller connects automatically to the platform. No port forwarding required — only outbound HTTP/HTTPS.
Remote configuration
When online, configure IP settings, update firmware, and adjust settings remotely.
Optional: Controllers can be delivered preconfigured and ready for installation. In this case, on-site work is limited to mounting the unit and connecting cables.
